The CSI TEAM of Erode College of Law, established in 2022, functions as a dedicated platform aimed at enhancing the investigative, analytical, and practical skills of aspiring legal professionals. The team seeks to promote a strong understanding of crime scene investigation, forensic principles, and evidentiary analysis within the criminal justice system.

Since its inception, the CSI TEAM has played a vital role in bridging the gap between theoretical legal education and practical investigation. Through simulated crime scenes and hands-on investigative exercises, students gain exposure to crime scene management, evidence identification, collection, preservation, documentation, and interpretation, thereby strengthening their application of criminal law and procedure.

The CSI TEAM organises Intra-College and Inter-College Crime Scene Investigation Competitions, along with workshops, training programmes, and simulation exercises. These initiatives encourage students to apply legal reasoning, keen observation, teamwork, and ethical standards while solving complex criminal scenarios.

Under the guidance of faculty members and subject experts, students actively participate in investigative simulations and external competitions at State and National levels, earning recognition for their analytical skills and problem-solving abilities.
