Ms. Hari Priyaa M holds a B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) from SRM Institute of Science and Technology, where she was awarded the Silver Medal, and an LL.M. in Criminal Law and Criminal Justice Administration from the School of Excellence in Law, The Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University, where she was awarded the Gold Medal. She qualified the UGC-NET examination in 2026 and is currently pursuing her Ph.D., with research focusing on dowry deaths and human rights accountability.  

With over three and a half years of teaching experience, she has served as an Assistant Professor at Bharath Institute of Law (BIHER) and is presently an Assistant Professor at Erode College of Law. Alongside teaching, she actively contributes to academic administration as Programme In-charge, Coordinator of the Timetable and Academic Schedule Committee, and a member of the Examination Cell, Moot Court Association, SHE BOX, Women's Grievance Redressal Committee, and Disciplinary Committee, among several other institutional committees. She has successfully coordinated numerous academic, legal awareness, cultural, and outreach programmes, demonstrating strong academic leadership and organisational skills. 

Her teaching expertise includes Constitutional Law, Criminal Law, Law of Contracts, Human Rights Law, Alternative Dispute Resolution, Administrative Law, Drafting, Pleading and Conveyancing, Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam, Medical and Health Law, and Civil Procedure Code. Her research interests encompass criminal justice administration, human rights, women's rights, dowry-related offences, forensic studies, and contemporary criminal law reforms. She has authored seven research publications in edited books and peer-reviewed journals and regularly participates in national and international conferences, faculty development programmes, workshops, and academic seminars. 

She has also completed fourteen specialised certification courses, including a certification in Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), further strengthening her practical understanding of dispute resolution mechanisms and consensual methods of conflict resolution. She possesses practical legal experience through eight months of legal practice before the Madras High Court and District Courts, complemented by extensive internship training throughout her undergraduate studies, including service with a legal aid NGO. These experiences have strengthened her expertise in legal research, drafting, litigation, client counselling, and socio-legal advocacy. 

Ms. Hari Priyaa believes that legal education should cultivate critical thinking, ethical responsibility, and a commitment to justice. Her teaching philosophy is centred on creating a dynamic, student-focused learning environment that bridges legal theory with practical application, inspiring future legal professionals to uphold constitutional values and contribute meaningfully to society.

Beneath her academic accomplishments lies a heart that believes deeply in kindness, courage and the transformative power of knowledge. She believes if her students remember not only her lessons but also the kindness with which she guided them, she considers it her sweetest and most cherished achievement.
