In 2022, India witnessed a staggering 8.7% increase in child abuse cases, reaching a total of 162,000 incidents, as reported by the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB).

Child sexual abuse is a horrific, terrifying, shocking, cruel and brutal crime. Despite many penal laws and the recent POSCO Act, 2012, prescribing severe punishment for crimes against children, the news of rapes of toddlers rocks the nation now and then. The number of such cases has increased from year to year.
